By definition social responsibility is the principle that companies should contribute to the welfare of society and not be solely devoted to maximizing profits.
"We are proud to announce that our "Toys for Tots" toy drive was an amazing success and we thank our customers and their generosity from the bottom of our hearts! During this short 30 day window, our customers donated $325 in Downing Dollars to the cause, which equated to the discount that they would have usually received. We in turn matched the $325 for the grand total of $650 worth of toys that went to our community in need.
Again our thanks to everyone who participated!"
